How do we know what we can or can’t, should or shouldn’t ask God for in prayer ?.
When we come before God in prayer, there can be a myriad of different subjects on the list, for example; we could be praying for other people, other countries, our church, our country, missionaries, personal or social situations, answers to, or a conformation for ourselves ect..
But when it comes to (Particular Personally Beneficial Requests) or however it is you wish to phrase that 😬, either for ourselves or others, rather than considering this type of prayer as an Ask! or a Favour!, we should really think of it more as us submitting a Petition to God,
The Verb - Petition is to make a formal request to a higher or legal authority, for a particular cause, to beg for or to appeal for, something.
The Noun - Petition is a written request signed by a number of people, in support of your request.
So let’s take a hypothetical scenario,
You believe you DESERVE a pay rise (This might not actually be Hypothetical lol). So you ask around and manage to get 52 of your co-workers to support your request, by adding their names to your petition, not bad really, considering there’s only 60 employees at the company.
That said however, you do make a fair amount of mistakes at times, I mean you're not the worst person there, but a model employee?, Definitely not.
So the chances of getting this request approved? Well don’t hold your breath!. Mind if you could get the firms owner to add their name,
Yes! that's one influential name, it could even be the only name needed on the petition, Hey you could slap it right at the top of the page, all on its lonesome, and with the certainty that the request, will eventual be approved 😃.
The Bible verses above, specifically say that you will receive anything you ask for right, but there is a caveat.
One influential name, that’s all you need to guarantee you’ll get your request approved, even if you don’t deserve it. But before petitioning the Father for that Anything, ask yourself 🤔, Would Jesus be willing put his name to this? 👍🏻😇 Or would He be like, Ermm no way dude, I’m not putting my name anywhere near that request. 👎🏻🤨
We can ask for Anything, just it's got to be the right sort of Anything.
God Bless

- (Mark 11:24) Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
- (Mathew 18:19) “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.
- (Mathew 21:22) If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”
- (John 14:13) And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- (John 15:7) If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
