The name Jesus was first spoken by an Angel sent to inform Mary of her forthcoming miraculious pregnancy and the subsequent birth of Gods son, whom was to be named Jesus, We should remember tho that the Son of God already existed prior to his human birth, in-fact he has always existed as God, Jesus is 100% God & 100% Man and will continue to be for eternity.
So when we explore the name or names of Jesus we should start as close to the very begining as we can, for s finite creatures that's going to be creation, the decibel John introduced us to Jesus name at the point of creation.
(John 1:1-5)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind, The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
Note that john says THE Word not just a word,
English - (The word) Hebrew - (λόγος) Greek - (logos)
Why did John choose to use The Logos or (The Word) as his title for Jesus Christ ?
John wanted to emphasis that Jesus Christs genealogy transcended humanity, right back to his direct involvement in creation, this was in contrast to the synoptic Gospels writers, Mathew who traces Jesus Christs lineage to Abraham and Luke who traces His lineage back to Adam
So then if a preexistent Jesus was called The Word or lógos; we can say from λέγω, légō, lit. ''I SAY''
Is a term derived from a Greek word variously meaning "ground", "plea", "opinion", "expectation", "word", "speech", "account", "reason", "proportion", and "discourse".
We can then say that Jesus is synonymous with all the above yet to single one meaning out other than Word it would be 'I SAY"
GOD the Father is "I AM" (I Exist)
GOD the Son is "I SAY" (The Word)
