When Jesus refers to children they are as innocents, He states “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
Now that statement doesn’t negate the fact, we are all born into sin through our fallen nature, but it does suggest that innocence is measured by wisdom, babies don’t have the capacity to make wise or unwise choices, the question about babies being saved or unsaved then is a misnomer, the actual question is will a baby end up in paradise or hades?
Let me ask this question, at what point does God consider a human to be fallen/cursed? at conception, viability or birth? The follow up question then, do aborted babies go to Hell?
You see there is no difference between a baby being aborted and left to die on a clinics table or a baby succumbing to a cot death a year later, if being fallen is the trigger point for damnation, then what’s the caveat, if not judgment based upon the mental or emotional capacity of the individual in question?
The Bible is clear, Where a person spends eternity depends upon how they view Jesus Christ. Those who receive Him as Savior will not be condemned. Scripture also emphasizes that God's judgment will be fair - there will be no partiality.
Jesus said, Each will be judged according to the information they have received. (According To The Truth They Have Received)
Judgment Then Will Be Fair
“For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
Faith can be catagorised as dependency to have Faith in God is to depend upon him totally, its opposite is independence (our will) i think everyone can agree, babies are not capable of independence.
I don’t know about you guys but the God I love is a just, fair, merciful, gracious, loving, omnipotent God, who will take into consideration every choice we were able to either make or not make.
